Forge Boots to Initial Config Wizard
Forge boots to “Initial Config Wizard”
When booting Forge/OS, startup is interrupted by the initial config wizard, prompting user to select a network connection.
It is normal for Forge/OS to boot to the initial config wizard if it is the first time booting, or if Forge/OS has just been upgraded. However, if Forge/OS is unable to detect a robot on boot, it will automatically start the wizard and prompt the user to configure the system again. This is by design and allows users to change robots or controllers easily. This can also occur if the robot controller does not boot fast enough, causing Forge/OS to timeout waiting to communicate with the robot.
If the hardware has not been changed, this indicates that Forge/OS is having a problem communicating with the robot.
Verify that the robot and robot controller have power.
Check the ethernet cable between the robot controller and the Forge/CTRL.
On a Forge/Station, verify that the Universal Robots teach pendant is powered on and that the robot can be initialized from the UR interface.
Power down the Forge/CTRL or Forge/Station and boot the robot controller separately. Once the robot has booted completely, power on the Forge/CTRL.
